Experienced Doula Support at Corewell Troy

Every birth is different, and good doula support isn’t about getting you to birth one particular way.

During labor, I help you understand your options, work through position changes and comfort measures, communicate with your medical team, and make decisions as labor unfolds. I also support your partner so they can be involved without feeling like they have to remember everything from a childbirth class while also watching the person they love give birth.

My approach is simple: Rest. Movement. Balance.

Sometimes that means getting you moving and trying a new position. Sometimes it means helping you rest. Sometimes it means talking through an epidural, an intervention, or a change in plans.

The goal isn’t a “perfect” birth. The goal is for you to feel supported through your birth.

VBAC, Induction, Epidural & Unmedicated Birth Support

Over the years, I’ve supported many different kinds of births, including VBACs, inductions, epidural births, unmedicated births, long labors, and births that ultimately required a C-section.

If you’re preparing for a VBAC at Corewell Troy, we can spend time during pregnancy talking through your previous birth, your hopes for this one, and ways you and your partner can prepare.

If you’re being induced, I can help you understand the process and prepare for what can sometimes be a longer labor experience.

And yes, you can absolutely hire a doula if you’re planning an epidural. There is still plenty of support I can provide with positioning, comfort, decision-making, partner support, and navigating the different stages of labor.

Prenatal Support Before Your Birth

My doula package includes two prenatal meetings so we have plenty of time to get to know each other and prepare before labor begins.

We’ll talk about your birth preferences, your provider, previous birth experiences if you have them, comfort measures, interventions, and the things that matter most to you.

I’m based in Clarkston and serve families throughout Southeast Michigan. In-home prenatal appointments are available within approximately one hour of Clarkston. If you live farther away, we can meet virtually or arrange to meet somewhere closer.

Christian Birth Doula Support

My faith is an important part of who I am, and I love supporting Christian families who want their faith to be part of their birth experience.

That might mean praying together during pregnancy or labor, playing worship music, or simply having someone in the room who understands the importance of your faith.

You never have to share my beliefs to hire me, though. Every family I work with receives compassionate, respectful support.
